Job Title: Lactation Educator RN

We are seeking a skilled Lactation Educator RN to join our team at Providence Newberg Medical Center. As a Lactation Educator RN, you will play a vital role in providing expert lactation care and education to our patients and families.

Job Summary:

The Lactation Educator RN will be responsible for providing lactation education and support to patients and families in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or NICU department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lactation care and education, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide lactation education and support to patients and families
  • Develop and implement lactation education programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive lactation care
  • Conduct lactation assessments and provide individualized lactation plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance lactation care
Requirements:
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • 3 years Experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or NICU department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
