Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee and enhance our quality assurance initiatives. This role is pivotal in supporting a dedicated team that delivers a variety of operational support services, including facility management, maintenance, logistics, and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary manager for contract staff, ensuring effective quality management and serving as the main contact for quality-related inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements and effectively communicate quality standards to the team.
- Foster a strong relationship with clients to promote a mutually beneficial partnership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and refine performance specifications and procedures, providing training to staff on their implementation.
- Establish logistics requirements for materials and equipment from vendors, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Supervise quality inspectors and technicians, offering guidance on quality-related matters.
- Ensure adherence to legal obligations and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor service delivery to identify quality deviations and recommend corrective actions to meet or exceed standards.
- Conduct final inspections of products and services, approving or rejecting outputs based on quality criteria.
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analyses to enhance contract performance.
- Proactively seek client feedback, participate in meetings, and assist auditors and inspectors.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Certification in quality control management, such as Certified Manager of Quality Control/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management within complex facility operations, including at least 2 years in maintenance and repair.
- Proven expertise in Process Control, Quality Data Analysis, and Statistical Sampling.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
- Ability to lead in a dynamic environment with short-notice tasks and high-pressure situations.
- Experience managing both in-house and subcontractor personnel.
- Experience working with labor unions and managing service employees under the Service Contract Act.
- In-depth technical knowledge of facilities maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and data center operations.
- A bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
