We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Scan Technician PRN to join our Radiology Department at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a CT Scan Technician PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
About the Role
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including 3-D acquisitions, reconstructions, biopsies, and drainage exams using a CT scanner and imaging equipment.
- Enter exam data into the Radiology Information System.
- Conduct quality control of assigned individual scans and assist in training new technologists/students.
- Demonstrate competency in all areas of computerized tomography (CT), positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors associated with the CT Systems.
Responsibilities
- Properly use the Radiology Imaging System, Meditech (scheduling exams, patient tracking, image tracking, proper completion of exams, capture charges).
- Follow safety policies and procedures applicable to the job, recognize impending crisis situations, and institute measures to prevent further complications.
- Maintain cleanliness and inventory of the CT rooms, including equipment and facilities.
Requirements
- Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Medical Board.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
