Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Monitor Technician to join our team at Inspira Health Network. As a Medical Monitor Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms and providing timely notification of dysrhythmias.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides continual observation of all patient rhythms, mounting rhythm strips appropriately and documenting interpretation of each patient's cardiac rhythm every 8 hours.
  • Notifies nurses of necessary lead replacement and communicates changes in telemetry orders renewal and/or discontinuation.
  • Maintains all telemetry units in working order, keeping an accurate inventory and submitting appropriate forms and units for repairs.
  • Supports the unit in providing indirect patient care, answering the unit telephone appropriately and assisting the unit secretary with transcribing orders.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous monitor tech experience preferred.
  • Certified nurse aide or unit secretary preferred.
  • Dysrhythmia course completion required.
