Position Overview

As a Program Manager, you will act as the main liaison for both external and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with clients and sales teams to formulate Statements of Work (SOWs) and oversee project boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating and following up on proposals
  • Managing client modifications and pursuing change orders
  • Creating and delegating project charters
  • Tracking project advancement and updating stakeholders on status
  • Addressing planning, engineering, manufacturing, and material/process challenges
  • Formulating project plans, budgets, and timelines
  • Overseeing project finances and developing financial status indicators
  • Leading cross-functional teams from concept through to production
  • Ensuring proper documentation for new product designs and manufacturing processes
  • Establishing and maintaining configuration control
  • Supporting AS9100 procedures and initiatives for continuous improvement

Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management, ideally within the aerospace sector. Specific qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in contract aerospace manufacturing, particularly in machining/assembly projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar); a Master's degree is preferred
  • Experience collaborating with the FAA, Aviation Safety, Aircraft Certification Service, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Local Aircraft Certification Office, and Airframe & Services Section
  • Proficiency in aerospace process specifications and qualifications
  • Strong skills in presentation, communication, and team leadership
  • Expertise in MS Office and Project Management software
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and adhere to customer specifications
  • Self-motivated with a strong emphasis on customer performance requirements
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Cargo Systems
  • Prior experience in an AS9100 certified organization
  • Excellent skills in blueprint reading and interpretation
  • PgMP or PMP Certification is advantageous
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
