Job Summary

As a Physician Assistant in our Neurology Department, you will collaborate with physicians to manage the medical needs of patients, following established protocols. You will develop patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and document appropriately according to regulatory guidelines and requirements. You must be able to give standard admission orders, which have been approved by the medical staff.

Job Specifications
  • Education and/or experience: Current Tennessee Physician Assistant License, previous hospital experience preferred, current certification by a national certification organization required, and current malpractice insurance policy required.
  • Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable regarding patient care plans.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, organized, responsible, motivated, and self-directed.
  • Abilities: Must be able to multitask and deal with difficult situations, handle stressful situations, review laboratory and x-ray reports, and report results to a physician or evaluate results and take appropriate medical action.
