Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
  • Analyze and manipulate data using SQL Server tools such as SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of SQL Server systems to ensure high availability and data integrity.
  • Conduct regular backup operations of system and application databases and servers.
  • Implement and document DISA STIG settings on database systems to ensure security and compliance.
  • Provide database installation, support, and development services to meet business needs.
  • Design and develop database structures, including tables, columns, triggers, stored procedures, and queries.
  • Develop and test legacy data migration routines to support deployment and data integration.
  • Support data profiling, data analysis, and logical and physical data modeling to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Ensure that database design and system capabilities meet user requirements and business needs.
  • Monitor database usage and troubleshoot data compatibility and integrity issues to optimize performance.
  • Develop and document database administration policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Evaluate the integration of new tools and technologies to enhance database capabilities and performance.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in database management and administration, with a focus on SQL Server.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • Security+ certification and ability to obtain Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience with database development, testing, and deployment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
