West Virginia Department of Education is seeking a qualified educator to fill the position of Teacher / Music. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in music and other subjects, utilizing various teaching methods and materials to supplement presentation.
Job Summary:The Teacher / Music position is a full-time role that requires a strong commitment to education and a passion for teaching. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from a four-year college and be able to function effectively as a member of an instructional team. The position holder will be responsible for implementing their program of study, fostering a classroom climate conducive to learning, and utilizing instructional management systems to increase student learning and maximize time on task.
Responsibilities:- Implementing the program of study and fostering a classroom climate conducive to learning
- Utilizing instructional management systems to increase student learning and maximize time on task
- Monitoring student progress toward learning outcomes
- Maintaining and upgrading professional skills
- Promoting and maintaining positive pupil-teacher-parent relations
- Maintaining professional work habits
- Graduate degree from a four-year college
- Ability to function effectively as a member of an instructional team
- Strong commitment to education and teaching
- Ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics
