We are seeking an experienced Simulation Engineer to join our Engineering department at Trident Maritime Systems. As a Simulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and testing our manufacture processes of custom forgings, pipes, fittings & heat treatment processes.

Job Summary

The Simulation Engineer will work closely with our design team to create preliminary and detailed drawings of fixtures, dies, and products using computer-assisted design (CAD) software. You will also use advanced simulation software (DEFORM 3D) to predict and visualize the manufacture design, build process routers and prototypes, and study test data to modify the simulation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as required by the production process.
  • Create preliminary and detailed drawings of fixtures, dies, and products using CAD software.
  • Use DEFORM 3D to predict and visualize the manufacture design.
  • Build process routers and prototypes to test the design.
  • Study test data and modify the simulation as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in simulation engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Office, and Excel.
  • Experience with DEFORM or other process simulation software highly preferred.
