Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care: Provide support to patients undergoing dialysis treatments, including monitoring their vital signs, administering medications, and conducting regular health checks.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate records: Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure seamless communication between healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives: Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education and training: High school diploma or equivalent required; must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
  • Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Certifications and licenses: Must possess current certifications and licenses as required by state laws and regulations.
