Certification Requirements

As a Travel Nurse RN at TNNAS ST Rutherford Hospital-28012, you will be required to hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS, both of which must be AHA certified. Additionally, you will need to have a valid Nursing licensure verification, which can be obtained through the Nursys system. It is recommended that you have your license verified within 30 days of the start of your assignment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for meeting the following requirements:

  • Vaccines or Positive IGG Titer: You will be required to have either a vaccine series completion or a Positive IGG Titer.
  • Annual Fit Test: You will be required to undergo an annual fit test.
  • Documentation of Vaccination Series Completion or Declination: You will need to provide documentation of your vaccination series completion or declination to the Vaccine for Hepatitis B.
  • Flu Season Requirements: During flu season, you will be required to have a flu vaccination or wear a mask at all times.
  • X-ray and TB Questionnaire: You will need to have a negative chest X-ray and complete an annual TB questionnaire if you have a positive TB record.
  • Statement of Good Health or Completed Physical Exam: You will need to provide a statement of good health or complete a physical exam prior to your first assignment and annually thereafter.
  • Driver's License/State ID: You will need to have a valid driver's license or state ID with an address that matches your home state for the compact license.
  • 2-Step PPD or IGRA: You will need to have a 2-step PPD or IGRA test.
  • Documented Proof of Varicella Immunity or Vaccination: You will need to provide documented proof of Varicella immunity or vaccination.
  • Valid 10-Year Tdap Documentation: You will need to have valid 10-year Tdap documentation.
  • Resume or Profile: You will need to provide a resume or profile.
  • At Least Two Professional References: You will need to provide at least two professional references.
  • Background Check Requirements: You will need to meet the background check requirements.
  • Clinical Only; Required Annual Specialty-Specific Skills Checklist: You will need to complete an annual specialty-specific skills checklist if you are a clinical nurse.
  • 12-Panel Drug Screen Requirements: You will need to meet the 12-panel drug screen requirements.
  • Badge Photo Requirements: You will need to meet the badge photo requirements.
  • Education Verification: You will need to provide education verification.
  • Confirmation of Assignment: You will need to confirm your assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification: You will need to hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS, both of which must be AHA certified.
  • Nursing License and Primary Source Verification: You will need to have a valid Nursing licensure verification, which can be obtained through the Nursys system.
  • Color Vision Test: You will need to meet the color vision test requirements.
  • Core Competencies Requirements: You will need to meet the core competencies requirements.
  • NIH Certification: You will need to hold current certification in NIH.
  • EKG Exam Requirements: You will need to meet the EKG exam requirements.
  • Unit-Specific Checklist: You will need to complete a unit-specific checklist.
  • Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation: You will need to meet the onboarding requirements education attestation.
  • Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding: You will need to meet the nursing contract worker onboarding requirements.
  • Nova StatStrip Requirements: You will need to meet the Nova StatStrip requirements.
  • Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination: You will need to meet the influenza vaccine exemption/declination requirements.
