About the Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel at Bank of China, you will play a critical role in reviewing, drafting, and revising various legal agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Review
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal agreements, including vendor service agreements, syndicated and bilateral loan agreements, and asset acquisition and disposition agreements.
    • Develop and implement effective legal review processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Legal Advisory
    • Provide expert legal advice on the conduct of Bank of China's operations, including assessment and mitigation of legal risks, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and data protection and confidentiality obligations.
    • Develop and maintain legal office templates and checklists for recurring matters.
  • Staff, Outside Counsel Management and Governance
    • Supervise and train junior colleagues on legal analysis and contract review.
    • Review and provide feedback on outside counsel's document reviews, legal opinions, and performance.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure effective governance and risk management.
Requirements
  • JD degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in legal analysis and contract review.
  • Knowledge of corporate and commercial finance, technology law, commercial law, corporate governance, real estate transactions, and legal and finance operations.
  • Licensed Attorney in the State of New York.
Compensation

Salary is commensurate with relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and other qualifications.

Pay range: USD $110,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.
