Position Title: Instructor in Emergency Medicine - Limited Term

Job Overview:
The Medical College of Georgia is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position is designed for a limited term and focuses on the educational development of Emergency Medicine residents, Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows, and medical students.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in a non-ACGME Emergency Ultrasound fellowship.
2. Provide instruction and mentorship to residents and students while engaging in patient care.
3. Commit to working 9 shifts per month in the Emergency Department and be available for on-call duties.
4. Conduct formal evaluations and assessments as required.

Academic and Clinical Duties:
- Complete a minimum of 900 ultrasound examinations.
- Initiate and complete at least two research projects, including one original project.
- Present research findings at national meetings, subject to acceptance.
- Dedicate at least six hours monthly to teaching residents or students.
- Attend regular quality assurance meetings and scanning shifts.

Qualifications:
- MD/DO or equivalent, with training in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
- Proven teaching ability and scholarly activity.
- Successful experience in an academic setting is preferred.

Work Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a commitment of 1.0 FTE, working year-round. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
