Geotechnical Project Engineer

We are currently in search of a Geotechnical Engineer, preferably with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, to contribute to a diverse range of geotechnical, testing, and monitoring projects. The successful candidate will engage in various tasks that support project development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical evaluations based on site-specific conditions to facilitate project designs.
  • Analyze and interpret data along with test outcomes.
  • Assess laboratory and field data for report integration.
  • Draft field reports, internal communications, and engineering documentation.
  • Assist the Geotechnical Group and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
  • Prepare technical proposals, cost assessments, plans, specifications, and reports, including routine correspondence.
  • Adhere to company and site safety protocols, ensuring all necessary permits are obtained.
  • Engage with vendors; investigate literature and regulatory guidelines; develop designs.
  • Support field instrumentation and monitoring initiatives.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships while actively participating in professional and industry organizations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
  • Self-motivated individual with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel and work temporarily out of town.
  • Physical capabilities may include lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating rugged terrain.
  • Must fulfill pre-employment criteria.
