Job Summary

As a Field Service Power Generation Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site. This role requires a talented individual with broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities, as well as high voltage/low voltage experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing repair activities on generators or components
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintaining detailed records of service
  • Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintaining own tools
Requirements
  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products
Intermediate Level Responsibilities
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
  • Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
Qualifications
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products
  • High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
  • Customer service experience

Salary rate commensurate with experience.
