Floorhand

We are seeking a skilled and physically able Floorhand to join our team at Norton Energy Drilling. As a key member of our drilling crew, you will be responsible for performing various job functions, including making connections while drilling and tripping, changing bits, and cleaning and performing maintenance work on the drilling rig.

• Perform duties requiring vertical lifting up to 100 lbs. and horizontal pushing and pulling up to 125 lbs.
• Work in inclement weather (extreme heat and cold)
• Assist in rigging down, moving and rigging up all parts of the rig
• Miscellaneous tasks such as mixing mud, digging ditches and location cleanup

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
• Good communication skills both written and verbal

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $27.25, depending on experience, and a unique scheduling system that allows for 12 straight days of work followed by 4 days off, or 7 straight days followed by 7 days off.
