Job Summary

Dennis Premier Landscaping is seeking a skilled Roll-Off Driver to join our team. As a Roll-Off Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle to collect and transport roll-off containers to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Ensure the assigned truck is fully-fueled, safe to operate, and that the required paperwork is on board before leaving the yard.
  • Route Management: Collect the route as outlined in the route sheet and document changes, problems, etc. on the route sheet.
  • Customer Interactions: Record time on route sheet at each customer stop and perform post-trip truck inspection.
  • Safety and Compliance: Work and drive productively and safely, and behave in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • DOT Compliance: Responsible for tracking personal DOT compliance, i.e. daily hours of service, and report immediately to the supervisor if in danger of being out of compliance.
  • Reporting: Report any moving violations incurred during work hours to the supervisor at the end of the shift and any personal moving violations or accidents to the supervisor within 72 hours.
  • Qualifications and Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of related medium or heavy truck driving experience and/or specialized training.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class B CDL, Medical Card, Record of safe driving for the last five years as shown on current MVR.
  • Experience: 3+ years as a roll-off driver.
  • Skills: Excellent heavy truck driving skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Language: Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
