POSITION OVERVIEW

MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is currently seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to become part of our esteemed Hospitalist Division.

Key Features of the Role:

  • Involvement in a Level 2 trauma center
  • General inpatient coverage with potential for ICU responsibilities; open ICU setting
  • Opportunity to mentor residents, medical students, and fellows
  • Inpatient shift-based schedule; no on-call duties required
  • Combination of patient rounds and admissions with occasional night coverage
  • Occasional coverage for affiliated hospitals

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in the field
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or eligibility with a commitment to certification within two years
  • Active Maryland medical license required upon employment
  • DEA registration
  • BLS Certification and ongoing recertification
