As we expand our client base, we are seeking a Vice President, Client Service / Financial Planning to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
- Conduct in-depth meetings with clients to gather essential information regarding their financial circumstances, including goals, assets, liabilities, and investment plans.
- Develop a comprehensive, value-added financial plan utilizing advanced financial planning software, followed by a detailed presentation for client review.
- Implement the financial strategy and conduct annual reviews with clients to adjust their plans as necessary based on evolving priorities.
Expertise in Financial Planning
- Serve as an internal expert on estate planning, retirement strategies, taxation, asset allocation, risk management, educational funding, and insurance requirements.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in financial planning and maintain all necessary continuing education for relevant licenses and certifications.
Relationship Management
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to address clients' financial service needs beyond investment portfolios.
- Analyze clients' investment objectives and risk tolerance, formalizing these insights in an Investment Objectives letter.
- Utilize the CRM system to monitor client holdings and proactively reach out to offer financial planning services.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries regarding their financial plans, market trends, and taxation information.
- Build and maintain trust with clients by offering high-touch services and demonstrating meticulous management of their investments.
Business Development
- Engage with potential clients to showcase the benefits of our comprehensive financial planning services.
- Leverage networking skills to attract high net worth clients and develop targeted strategies for relationship expansion.
- Contribute to the creation of editorial content for newsletters and publish insightful blogs on relevant financial topics.
- Organize educational seminars to inform clients about investment and financial planning subjects through tailored presentations.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in business, complemented by professional designations such as CPA, CFA, CFP, or TEP.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in personal tax planning, financial advisory, or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of the wealth management industry, including regulatory and compliance standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts and build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive mindset, capable of working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and managing multiple deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with experience in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments.
