Lead Survey Technician

As a pivotal member of the surveying division, you will take charge of a survey crew, executing essential construction stakeout tasks. Your role will encompass determining the location, form, boundaries, depth, height, and grades of land parcels. Employing precise surveying techniques and ensuring that the layout adheres to blueprint specifications and our quality benchmarks is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising the precise layout of project sites through established methods, from initial control surveys to final staking.
• Identifying and correcting discrepancies in layout and calculations to uphold accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborating with the Survey Manager to produce cut-sheets for stormwater, sanitary sewer, and curb installations.
• Maintaining comprehensive records, notes, and sketches to document and validate work performed.
• Providing consistent updates to the Survey Manager regarding project status and effectively addressing any challenges.
• Demonstrating the ability to work efficiently under pressure to ensure project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, coupled with three to five years of experience in the construction field. Additional technical education or certifications are advantageous.
• Possession of a current drone pilot license is preferred.
