We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Double H Plastics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and adjustments to electrical or mechanical parts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Overhaul machines as needed to maintain peak performance and efficiency.
- Respond to maintenance requests from various departments, including tenders, packers, quality assurance, and plant supervision.
- Train and mentor new hires or lower-skilled maintenance staff to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Communicate effectively with management and maintenance staff to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Record maintenance activities in our IQMS database, ensuring accuracy, detail, and timeliness.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient use of hand tools and basic understanding of plant electrical and control circuits.
- Advanced trouble-shooting skills and ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with management and maintenance staff.
- Ability to work with hot parts or equipment.
- Must be able to work in a dusty area while wearing proper safety gear.
- Must be able to work with oil and grease.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and reaching.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to plant GMPs and quality rules.
SafetyEnsure proper safety standards are maintained according to established OSHA and Double H policies, using personal protective gear as required.
