Position Overview

Tact Staff is actively seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for an exciting opportunity. This role is essential in providing respiratory care and support to patients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Length: 8 hours

The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role within a multidisciplinary team, delivering therapies that may encompass:

  • Application and monitoring of medical gases
  • Mechanical ventilator support
  • Artificial airway management
  • Bronchopulmonary hygiene
  • Administration of pharmacological agents related to respiratory care

Additional duties include conducting EEGs, EKGs, and ABGs, while being aware that PFTs are not part of this role. Candidates must possess their own transportation due to limited public transport options.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric respiratory therapy
  • Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current state licensure
  • Prior travel experience of at least one year
  • Ability to perform intubation and manage critical care ventilators
Certification Requirements

  • PALS (AHA)
