About the Role

This is a rewarding position that allows you to advance the practice of nursing and improve positive outcomes for patients with cardiovascular conditions. As a Cardiovascular Step Down Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with medical providers to coordinate high-quality patient care and serve as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • A current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • A minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Cardiac RN experience.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
