Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Telemetry Technician to join our team at MultiCare Health System. As a Per Diem Telemetry Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe and interpret cardiac rhythms of monitored patients at the central nurses' station.
- Identify changes in any rhythm, especially those that are life-threatening.
- Perform administrative tasks for the unit, including data entry and communication with healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal plan of care based on age-specific needs.
- Provide individualized patient care, integrating age-related, cultural, and religious/spiritual needs.
- Have the flexibility to be scheduled into and perform multiple roles, such as a Unit Secretary and/or a Nursing Assistant.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited NAC program required.
- Successful completion of mandatory internal EKG education and test to prove proficiency in rhythm interpretation within 6 months of hire.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Washington State (DOH) Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- American Heart Associate BLS required.
