Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation of Hazardous Materials: Ensure the safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials from customer sites to designated locations, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and integrity, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Review and verify shipment records, manifests, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other drivers, dispatchers, and support staff to ensure smooth operations and achieve team goals.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driving Experience: Prior experience as a commercial driver, with a valid Class A CDL and Hazmat endorsement.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and guidelines for the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Time Management and Organization: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training: Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training, preferred but not required.
  • Tanker/Hazmat Endorsement: Tanker/Hazmat endorsement, preferred but not required.
