Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at StoryPoint. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for the overall success of our food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the culinary team, ensuring seamless execution of menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement innovative menus that meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure strict adherence to food safety protocols, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, and consistently delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Effectively manage food costs, inventory, and labor, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing waste.
  • Special Events: Plan and execute special events, such as catering and themed dining experiences, to enhance the resident experience.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Minimum four years of experience in a senior living or upscale dining environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Certifications: Certified Executive Chef (CEC) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with food service management software.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing for long periods, frequent walking, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment is fast-paced, with moderate noise levels.
