Automation Systems Specialist

The Role:
Building Automation Specialist (Level 1)This is an entry-level position that requires technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles, as well as prior experience in building automation system engineering, programming, graphics, and closeout documentation activities.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Provide direction to trades or contract personnel when necessary to make repairs or adjustments
- Operate building automation software and controls
- Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure overall system functions properly
- Perform software diagnostics on automation system, process controls, mechanical devices, electrical systems, and components
- Complete service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments, and calibration on automation systems and components
- Submit written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity
Requirements:
- Technical Certification and/or Associate degree in a technical field or 1+ years of related work experience in building automation or electrical systems
- Valid California Driver's License
- Strong mechanical aptitude and any technical school training
- Organized, independent, and a great communicator
- Basis knowledge of MS Office, Windows, File Structure, Basic TCP/IP network structure, and web navigation
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
