Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities within the maintenance sector.

The primary objective of this position is to execute preventative maintenance, troubleshoot pump-related issues, and coordinate necessary repairs, while also assisting with general maintenance tasks as required.

Additional duties will involve seasonal landscaping activities such as mowing, trimming, and applying treatments. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing physical tasks and utilizing various computer applications. Proficiency in reading and interpreting both legal and technical documentation is essential.

Applicants will receive both practical and theoretical training for multiple scenarios.Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to production interruptions
- Diagnose and repair pump issues
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve part quality concerns
- Perform welding tasks as necessary
- Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other heavy machinery and tools
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment as per the PM system
- Engage in technical training as required
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and confined space regulations
- Maintain equipment to minimize environmental impact (e.g., water, air emissions, oil leaks)
- Participate in seasonal landscaping tasks including mowing and trimming.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Welding experience is preferred
- Previous maintenance experience
- Strong logical and practical reasoning skills.
Skills & Competencies:

Computer Proficiency:
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to navigate web browsers, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse effectively.

Work Ethic:
A proactive, innovative, and ethical individual with strong technical skills, analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a focus on operational excellence. A well-organized, self-motivated team player.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. Ability to read product and chemical labels is necessary.

Work Environment:
In this role, the employee regularly works outdoors.

Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, hazardous chemicals, electrical risks, and vibrations may occur.


Physical Capabilities:
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, goggles, face shields, and respirators.

Vision:

Near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception capabilities are required. Hearing must be sufficient to engage in conversations at 55 decibels. The ability to detect odors is also necessary.
