We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at Goldsboro Builders Supply Co., Inc. This is a full-time position that will provide direct support to the finance team in maintaining financial records and processing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up new vendors in the system, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance are met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records for current vendors.
  • Process vendor ACH payment setups, changes, and cancellations as required.
  • Post financial transactions and ensure accuracy of entries.
  • Distribute and route invoices for approval from the appropriate department managers.
  • File and scan documents for digital storage and easy retrieval.
  • Perform daily runs to the post office and bank for necessary deposits, mail pickups, or other tasks.
  • Open, date stamp, and sort incoming invoices received via mail.
  • Assist with preparation of the weekly check runs, including accurate keying, proper approvals, and detailed notes.
  • Support during end-of-year closing, internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
