- Management of environmental controls for the International Space Station (ISS).
- Development of Ground Support and Test Equipment.
- Innovation in spacecraft and space instrument design.
Key Qualifications:
A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree from an ABET accredited institution. The typical educational background includes:
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience,
- Master’s degree with at least 18 years of experience,
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 20 years of experience.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
The successful applicant will possess:
- Expertise in Active Thermal Systems.
- Proficiency in thermal test setup, as well as familiarity with software tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with thermal desktop applications.
- Knowledge of NX Team Center.
- Hands-on experience in thermal testing.
- Understanding of orbital thermal environment development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of NASA standards and MSFC specifications.
