Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing exceptional guest service during the overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: As the manager-on-duty during 3rd shift, you will be the primary point of contact for guests, providing a high level of service and ensuring their needs are met. This includes processing check-ins and check-outs, verifying billing, creating reservations, and processing special requests.
  • Audit: You will be accountable for accurately balancing all revenue sources and completing daily financial reports. This includes processing no-show reservations, preparing financial reports for managerial review, and closing the financial day for the hotel.
  • Financial Results and Cost Control: You will be responsible for following proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues, monitoring room availability, and adhering to restrictions and booking policies. Additionally, you will drive sales and revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities, and ensure the proper use of all equipment and adherence to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  • Self/Workload Management: You will be responsible for producing the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties. This includes completing financial tasks, working on assigned additional projects, stocking supplies, and assisting other overnight staff as needed.
  • Safety/Risk Management: You will maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group brand, local, state, and federal regulations. You will also follow all procedures for guest/associate incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 2+ years prior guest service experience required, preferably in a hospitality setting. Prior night audit or accounting experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills needed. Attention to detail, customer-focused, and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
