Job Summary:

The Assistant Facilities Director will assist the Director of Facilities Management in overseeing all operational aspects of the campus, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. This role requires a high level of leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, directing, and managing facilities operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry services.
  • Supervise personnel and ensure they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the campus and identify life-safety, code, and work hazards.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including pumps, boilers, generators, compressors, and chillers.
  • Prepare and oversee the execution of the Department's annual budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations related to maintenance operations.
  • Exercise continuing vigilance to ensure the well-being and safety of residents and employees.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of US Military experience required.
  • General maintenance background.
  • 4-year degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or related field preferred); 3-5 years of hands-on operational experience also acceptable.
  • Must be comfortable working around elderly communities and be capable of assisting with lifting and/or carrying non-ambulatory residents/clients to safety during emergencies.
