Kinder Hearts Home Health & Hospice is seeking a skilled Pediatric LVN to join our team. As a Pediatric LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the plan of care and administering treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes and provide education to patients and families on self-care techniques.
- Prepare clinical and progress notes, as well as equipment and materials for treatments, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Participate in in-service programs and receive orders from physicians or their representatives according to policy.
- Perform other assigned duties as desired by the DCS and Director of Pediatric Operations.
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Three years of nursing experience preferred, with pediatric home health experience a plus.
- Currently licensed as a licensed vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
- Ability to demonstrate assessment and skills in caring for a pediatric client.
- Knowledge or experience with gastric button feeding and care, ventilators, tracheostomy, and care.
- Good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
- CPR certification.
