Position Overview

Lycoming College is in search of a dedicated Student Engagement Coordinator to become an integral part of the student life team.

As a historic institution committed to fostering an inclusive environment, Lycoming College aims to support all individuals within its community. We seek a candidate who will work collaboratively with student organizations and the Director of Student Engagement to develop and enhance programs and activities that promote student involvement across the campus. This role encompasses organizing late-night and weekend events, providing guidance to student organizations, and assisting with event logistics. The ideal candidate will be sensitive to the diverse needs of the Lycoming community and will actively contribute to enriching the campus experience for everyone.

This is a full-time role that includes eligibility for benefits. The selected individual must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and possess a valid US driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Student Life programming initiatives and leadership development opportunities
  • Manage evening and weekend events
  • Assist in the promotion and communication of programs and activities
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for campus events
  • Collaborate with various Student Life departments
  • Implement monthly community service programming
  • Support the planning of significant college events
  • Assist with Fraternity and Sorority Life programming as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Master's Degree in College Student Personnel or a related field is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
