We are in search of a committed Service Operations Manager to become a vital part of our vibrant automotive team. The Service Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of our service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage service department financial functions, including billing, invoicing, and transaction reconciliation.
- Set and forecast goals and objectives for the department.
- Analyze and monitor department performance metrics, including service efficiency, labor productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Address customer escalations and resolve service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and employee growth.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure staff remains current with all EHS and compliance training.
- Stay informed about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
- Lead by example; hold yourself and your team accountable.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial capacity within the automotive service sector.
- Thorough understanding of administrative and financial procedures specific to automotive service departments.
- Ability to address practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Capability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficiency in automotive service management software is essential - Reynolds & Reynolds. A minimum of 3 years of active and recent experience is required.
