We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Charge Nurse at our skilled nursing facility. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Observation and Assessment: Conduct regular rounds to observe, assess, document, and report resident condition/changes.
- Care Plan Implementation: Ensure the implementation of care plans as directed by the physician and nursing staff.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Leadership: Oversee and monitor nursing staff, including aides, to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Incident Reporting: Initiate and complete incident and accident reports as per facility policy.
- Discharge Planning: Coordinate resident discharges according to facility policy.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
- Education: Completion of a RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Texas in good standing.
- Experience: Preferably 1+ year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
