  • Instrument Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials, adhering to established protocols and ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Patient Preparation and Care: Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, addressing any concerns and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Radiation Safety and X-ray Processing: Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring proper radiation safety measures are followed.
  • Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting treatment plans and procedures performed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the dental team in developing and implementing treatment plans, and provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education and Certification: Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience, and current certification or licensure as a dental assistant, if required by the state.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in chairside assisting and dental procedures, knowledge of dental instruments and materials, and certification in dental radiography, per state regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills in managing supplies and equipment, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
