Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and program fire alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV systems at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems, access control systems, and security systems
  • Configure and commission fire alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV systems
  • Perform panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, and system testing
  • Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks
Requirements
  • 3+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems, access control systems, and security systems
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment
  • Basic understanding of network concepts and architectures
  • Extended knowledge of DOS and Windows
  • Network, Computer Science, or related field
