Job Overview

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic team involved in the export of agricultural products to various global markets. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational capabilities, dedicated to ensuring the smooth processing of business transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with production facilities to manage all procurement and payment processes, along with related customer invoicing.
  • Input purchase and sales agreements for commodities and futures trading.
  • Generate and analyze position reports to monitor trading activities.
  • Handle miscellaneous payables and receivables associated with suppliers, customers, and production facilities.
  • Manage invoice processing for products acquired for inventory or directly shipped to clients.
  • Oversee freight billing, transloading fees, ocean freight, and other associated costs.
  • Facilitate accounts payable processes for payments via various methods including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
  • Ensure timely invoicing of clients and manage all necessary export documentation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records in shared drives or email systems.
  • Adhere to both internal and external compliance standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with domestic and international clients to verify document accuracy.
  • Utilize and maintain Excel spreadsheets efficiently, as this is crucial for the role.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by sharing innovative ideas.

Additional Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; relevant education and experience in agriculture or logistics is preferred.
  • Experience in export operations or container management is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with Agris software is a plus, though not required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-driven individual with strong organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities, committed to ongoing professional development.

  • Capability to analyze and interpret technical procedures effectively.
