Job Summary:

The Operating Room X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during procedures such as myelograms, arthrograms, aspirations, and steroid injections. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and in-patient areas, as well as routine X-rays ordered. The North Central Imaging department is a fast-paced environment, and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas, and manage their time effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up sterile trays and assist radiologists during procedures
  • Perform emergent X-rays from the ED and in-patient areas
  • Conduct routine X-rays ordered
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to move between multiple exams and areas
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • AART Registered in Radiology
  • Experience with C-arm, O-arm, and portable digital equipment desired
  • BLS current
  • Current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
  • 3 years of hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations
