Life Coach/Direct Support Professional - Weekend Community Engagement

Smiles Like Yours, LLC is expanding its weekend Community Engagement program and seeking a Life Coach/Direct Support Professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Observe and promote the rights and personal dignity of individuals.
  • Engage or assist in person-centered care.
  • Assist individuals with entering and exiting vehicles and buildings safely.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with individuals and colleagues.
  • Support individuals during events and activities.
  • Safely guide and engage individuals in the community.
  • Transport individuals to and from events using company vehicles.
  • Provide personal care during activities if necessary.
  • Implement and document individualized support plans and progress reports.
  • Apply first aid, CPR, and Tova when necessary.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and training for the well-being of the company.
  • Administer medication when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Social, upbeat, and compassionate.
  • On-time and good driving record.
  • Must undergo and pass a background check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe, and related reporting systems.
  • Ability to observe, record, and report individuals' behavior, attitude, and physical condition.
  • Ability to lift, squat, and bend to set up activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOVA certified.
  • CPR certified.
  • Experience using Care Tracker and WaMS.

Work Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Work Location:

In-person.

Compensation:

Base pay $16.00+ per hour; additional pay based on experience.
