Job Overview

Sign-On Bonus: $1,200

Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts - Days: 7am-7pm & Nights: 7pm-7am

ROLE:

The primary responsibility is to visually assess, extract, and systematically package bags into boxes, ensuring optimal safety, quality, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • Operate auxiliary equipment related to bag production (e.g., Tap Applicator, Bag Separator).
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
  • Promptly report any product or machinery irregularities.
  • Ensure the machine is consistently supplied with necessary fitments to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provide assistance to other departments during machine downtime.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles.
  • Conduct inspections of materials, products, and containers throughout the packaging process.
  • Accurately pack quality products.
  • Complete all required documentation, including hour-by-hour charts and Kaizen reports.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work all shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Prior experience in quality control is advantageous.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics are essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and technical specifications is beneficial.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Frequent use of hands for operating machinery.
  • Regular bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Visual acuity is necessary.
