Mobile Crisis Outreach Specialist (Full-Time)
Compensation: $24.83/hour
Community Care Alliance is on the lookout for a dedicated outreach specialist to become a part of our dynamic and multidisciplinary mobile crisis team. This role is essential in actively connecting with community members who may not be receiving treatment, by providing essential referrals, resources, and pathways to care. The outreach specialist will serve as a vital link between at-risk individuals or those from underserved backgrounds and the services available to them.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting visits to high-need community locations
- Transporting clients who are seeking services
- Facilitating communication between community members and treatment resources
- Collecting data and performing additional tasks as assigned
Engagement with clients and communities will always occur alongside another member of the mobile crisis team.
Outreach specialists play a crucial role in reducing stigma by offering education, resources, and support to vulnerable populations. The ideal candidate will possess strong cultural awareness with affected groups, a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and experience in crisis intervention, harm reduction, or community outreach. The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment, along with a creative approach to problem-solving, is essential as this is a pioneering program. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as language skills will be compensated.
Qualifications: An associate's degree in a human services-related field is required, along with relevant experience in behavioral health or community organizing; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates who are trained and/or certified as Community Health Workers are strongly encouraged to apply.
