Senior Electronics Communications Specialist

Job Summary
The City of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing complex electronic communication systems, including radio, telephone, and alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for all electronic communication systems, including troubleshooting and repair of equipment
- Install and maintain electronic equipment, including mobile radios and data terminals
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing of communication systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturers' engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
- Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff members
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electronic theory, communication systems, and local law enforcement practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
