As an Artillery Mechanic with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our ground weapons systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and troubleshooting complex electrical systems, including automotive, turret, fire control, and chemical protection subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair diesel power plants, compression ignition engines, and engine fuel systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in carriage-mounted armament, fire control systems, and related components
  • Perform unit maintenance on self-propelled field artillery weapon systems

Required Skills:

  • Electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
  • Use of electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
  • Operation, testing, and maintenance of specific types of weapons systems
