Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Freeport, IL. This role will focus on electrical engineering and maintenance responsibilities, working on CAPEX projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and training/maintaining the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:- 60% Engineering:
- Develop and implement internal continuous improvement projects or make small machine upgrades to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with vendors, commission equipment, scope new machines, and manage CAPEX projects
- 40% Maintenance:
- Provide direction and guidance to technicians
- Train technicians to ensure they can troubleshoot issues efficiently
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- Proficiency with AC Drives and PLCs (experience programming from scratch preferred)
- Ability to use AutoCAD for design and modification
- Experience working on CAPEX projects
