Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in a travel opportunity. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including general ultrasound, GYN, ER, and general cases.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging, with a focus on ultrasound.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARDMS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Department Details
  • 3 ultrasound scanners/rooms at the main hospital, with 1 outpatient clinic.
  • Float coverage to the outpatient clinic, with no offsite float.
  • Common procedures include general ultrasound, GYN, ER, general cases, and thyroids.
  • Average daily scan volume of 8 scans per tech.
  • EMR and PACS systems: McKesson, EPIC.
  • Equipment: Cannon/Toshiba Aplio 500, easy to learn and use.
  • Radiologist: In-house, with no overnight coverage.
  • Supervision: Several charge techs and a manager with ultrasound experience, supported by a radiology educator.
  • Dress code: Caribbean blue surgery scrubs provided.
Orientation and Support
  • Up to 3 shifts for department-specific orientation.
  • Initial onboarding facilitated by our Medical Imaging educator.
