Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner

Atrius Health, a leading healthcare organization, seeks a skilled Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedics department at our Chelmsford location. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct clinical care to patients, working collaboratively with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide same-day urgent care, wellness visits, chronic disease management, and acute care to patients in our ambulatory orthopedics practice.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.
  • Utilize our fully integrated EMR system to document patient information and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in orthopedic care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited, Masters-level Physician Assistant program or a State-approved school of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National certification as a Physician Assistant and licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Eligibility for DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on specialty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Physician Assistant in primary care.
  • Experience with an electronic medical records system, EPIC.
