An echo technician is a cardiovascular technologist who specializes in utilizing non-invasive imaging technology to evaluate a patient's heart, focusing on the function of its veins, arteries, chambers, and valves.

Here is what you can expect from being an Echo Technician with us:

Your primary responsibility will be to calibrate and operate medical diagnostic imaging machines to capture images of a patient's heart.

You will manage an echocardiography machine to document and analyze wall motion, valvular function, and heart kinesis, aiding in the diagnosis of cardiac and valvular disorders.

Your role will support Stress Testing and other non-invasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing procedures as requested by the physician and according to departmental needs.

You must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of echocardiography, including transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, stress echo, and pharmacologic induced stress echo.


A minimum of one year of technical training in an accredited AMA/ACCA Sonographer Program with a Certificate of Completion is required.
A minimum of one year of recent hospital or clinical experience is preferred.
