Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Utilizing ultrasound technology to visualize internal cardiac structures and obtain critical measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, and blood flow.
- Assisting physicians with complex ultrasound procedures.
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through effective management of clerical functions, documentation, and information dissemination.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Completion of an Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training.
- A current BCLS certification upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
- The ability to assist physicians with Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) testing.
- Previous experience performing Echocardiograms across all age groups is preferred.
- Hospital experience in the Cardiology field is advantageous.
- ARDMS or CCI certification is required within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
